What started as a small 12-bed alcohol treatment facility for men in 1973, named "Amigo House", is now a large scale treatment facility dedicated to assist all adults in overcoming the challenges of chemical dependence in order to create "A Total Life Change." The current treatment facility, "Cedar House Rehabilitation Center," provides various residential services for 125 clients. Cedar House has evolved dramatically over the past 10 years, creating new contracts with the Counties of San Bernardino and Riverside in order to offer more people the chance at a new life free from chemical dependency. The organization has strong relations with the San Bernardino Department of Behavioral Health and the County of Riverside. Cedar House is also an active member of ACBO, the Association of Community-Based-Organizations.
